Saffron Tea

Serves              :5
Ingredients :    
Water
- 6 cups
Green cardamom pods, crushed
- 7
Saffron
- 6 strands
Honey
- 3 tsp
English Breakfast or Earl Grey tea
- 8 tsp
Raw almonds, slivered - 2 tbsp

Method :
Bring the water to a boil and add the cardamom, saffron and honey. Simmer for 7 minutes. Turn off, add tea, cover and allow to steep to desired strength. Strain and top with slivered almonds. Use to throw off a case of the winter blues. If you like, top up with warm milk.
